How to find the right Driving Instructor?
Automatics School of Motoring are the leading provider of highly qualified driving instructors. All of our driving instructors are fully qualified and approved by Driving Standards Agency. We do not engage any trainee instructor. Please give us a call on 07848803181 or send us a message by using the contact form on the contact us page.
See the Badge
At the time of giving driving tuition, all driving instructors are required by law to display their badges in the car window. You have got the right to ask to see the ADI badge of the instructor to whom you are paying to take driving lessons.
There are two kinds of Badges, one is of pink colour for those instructors who are not fully qualified and are trainee instructors. The other one is of green colour for those who are fully qualified and approved by the Driving Standard Agency. Please do not take any lesson from an instructor who has no badge.
Ask what grade they are
During a ‘’Standard Check’’ an ADI is scored on 17 areas of competence, each area being scored to maximum of 3 points the maximum possible being,therefore,51/51.
An ADI scoring between 43 and 51 will get their Grade ‘’A’’ (High Standard)
Those scoring 31 to 42 get their grade ‘’B’’ (Competent enough)
Those achieving less than 31 are deemed to have FAILED.
After their last examination each ADI is given a mark sheet where their grade is indicated. You may ask and see their grade.
Ask your friends or relatives
Ask your friends or relatives whether they know any good driving instructors and what are their pass rates and how are their teaching methods. Also, do they recommend strongly any particular driving instructor?
A lot of people think that those who work for known companies like BSM, Red, AA, etc. they are good driving instructors. That is a mistaken notion. Because they employ all kinds of instructors regardless their experience or grade.
I hope the above information would help you to find a good driving instructor who would offer you value for your money and time.
